08:15 am 1600 blk Diamond Battery
Officer Giannini responded with several other officers to a battery call. The officers located the victim who told them that he was the foreman of a new home construction project. A neighbor had approached the victim and yelled at the victim regarding the noise created by a truck that had hauled away a container earlier in the morning. The neighbor was irate and spit at the victim and then punched the victim in the face. The victim called for the police. The officers located the suspect and the victim positively identified him. The victim wanted to press charges and therefore the suspect was cited and provided a court date. The victim was treated and released at the scene for his injuries. Report number 100730650
10:30 am Diamond/Surrey Vandalism to Vehicle/Susp License
Poor driving behavior led Officers Fuentes, Ocreto, Dilag and Reyes to investigate. The officers met with the victim who described a driver who yelled obscenities and drove erratically, then exited his vehicle and kicked the victims’ vehicle. The suspect and his vehicle were located moments later. The driver was found to have a suspended drivers’ license. He was cited for vandalizing the victims’ vehicle and driving with a suspended license. Report number 100731062
02:12 pm Bosworth/Diamond Battery
Sgt. Miller responded to a fight and located all of the involved parties. Though they had slightly differing accounts of the incident, none of them wished to pursue criminal charges and only wanted the incident documented. Report number 100731727
06:19 pm 2800 blk Diamond Theft, Shoplifting
Two young adult males were seen on security footage stealing liquor from a grocery store. The responding officers, Margreiter and Uang, recognized the suspect from prior police contacts. The suspects were named in the report. Computer queries of the suspects revealed that they had both previously served jail time for theft related offenses. Report number100732866.
