Walter Haas Dog Play Area Renovation Begins May 9

The San Francisco Recreation and Park Department has scheduled construction renovations at the Walter Haas Dog Play Area to start on Wednesday, May 9th. Completion is planned during the summer. The DHCA thanks Senator Scott Wiener and Supervisor Jeff Sheehy for their efforts to fund the much needed renovations.

“We are excited to announce the renovation of the Walter Haas Dog Play Area, thanks to funding from former District 8 Supervisor Scott Wiener and current Supervisor Jeff Sheehy. The Walter Haas Dog Play Area will be closed during construction from May 9, 2018 to Summer 2018. We apologize for the inconvenience. The project scope includes: installation of synthetic turf with accompanying irrigation and drainage improvements; replacing the drinking fountain and replacing the fence screen fabric.

Alternative Dog Play Areas in the area are located at Upper Noe DPA (Day and Sanchez Sts.) and Upper Douglass DP (26th and Douglass Sts.).
