Our Officer of the Month, Officer Johnny Vong, has done a tremendous job managing the Ingleside Towel Drive for San Francisco Animal Care and Control (S.F.A.C.C.), and he made yet another delivery of towels this week.
S.F.A.C.C. informed us that because of the overwhelming and generous response from those in our community, the need for towels has been met, and they do not require any more towel donations at this time. S.F.A.C.C. wishes to express their gratitude for the outpouring of support from the community.
We had several community members ask us about donations of food for animals, and as it turns out, S.F.A.C.C. can use food donations for sheltered animals, as well as for pet owners in need. If you can help in this regard, it would be very much appreciated! Effective immediately, we’ll be collecting food items at Ingleside Station, and the members of Ingleside Station will deliver the items to S.F.A.C.C. S.F.A.C.C. will accept dry, wet, bagged, or canned food items for shelter animals. It is requested that the items be sealed/new, not expired, and that the items require no refrigeration.
Along with S.F.A.C.C., we want to express our gratitude to everyone in the community for their generosity, and for lending a hand to a valued organization, and those they care for.
Thank you, and stay safe!
