Forwarded from the fabulous Betsy Eddy of the Diamond Heights Community Association:
This morning when I smelled smoke I immediately checked email messages and received the message below so that I had a brief idea of what was happening and where the fires were located. You can sign up for a free emergency alert service sponsored by the City by going to www.alertsf.org. This service is separate from the Amber Alerts you receive on your phone.
Our hearts go out to those who have lost homes and businesses due to the multiple fires in the North Bay and to those suffering from the smoke conditions.
