Family Wealth Forum
On Saturday, March 24th, the Office of Assessor Carmen Chu will bring back by popular demand our large-scale educational event, the Family Wealth Forum.
Often when speaking with community members, Carmen receives questions about tax savings, estate planning, and passing on a family’s most valuable asset, their home. In response, she created the Family Wealth Forum as a one-stop shop to answer those questions. What makes the event unique is that we provide individual attention as a feature of this large educational event by offering free one-on-one counseling with estate planning and tax experts, certified financial planners, and staff from our office. Our last Family Wealth Forum in September 2017 was a huge success, attracting close to 400 attendees from every district in San Francisco, with 96% of evaluation respondents recommending the event be held again. The event was so successful that we plan to host it again on Saturday March 24th, from 10:00 am – 1:00 pm at Lincoln High School, 2162 24th Avenue.
We are really excited about this effort to support San Franciscans in these vital areas of asset building and planning for the future, which can so often be overlooked. I’m emailing for a couple of reasons.
- I hope you will consider attending the event. We encourage you to register in advance by visiting www.sfassessor.org/familywealthforum
- Please support the event by helping to spread the word to San Franciscans within your network, particularly families and seniors. I’ve attached our event flyer, as well as included some promotional materials below.
Please feel free to give me a ring if you have any questions. Thanks in advance for your consideration of this request and for your support of this valuable community event we are creating. We hope to see you there!
