Glen Canyon’s resident coyote took a moment on Wednesday to pause in front of Silver Tree Day Camp, perhaps to peruse the Park & Rec sign warning about … coyotes in Glen Canyon Park.
Glen Park News writer Murray Schneider snapped this photo at about 11:30 a.m. while Silver Tree campers were on their neighborhood hike to Christopher and Walter Haas Parks.
Immediately after the photo was taken, an unleashed dog chased the coyote up the hill behind Silver Tree — only to be chased right back down the hill by the coyote.
