We’re running a little behind here at the Glen Park News, apologies to the amazing group of volunteers who worked on April 23rd to clean up along San Jose Avenue.
At its height, there were close to 60 volunteers working with the Dept. of Public Works to clean up the trash-strewn corridor. Multiple neighborhood groups worked together on this project and the clean up itself, including the Bernal Cut Association, the Sunnyside Greening Committee, Bernal Neighbors and the Glen Park Association, as well as neighbors and both sides of San Jose Avenue.
Organizers hope to make it an annual event.
