A possible sexual predator is targeting middle school-aged girls in the Outer Mission area. The man, described as a Filipino male, 30-35 years old with a dark complexion with acne, has twice in the last two weeks tried to lure girls into his car, Ingleside Police Captain David Lazar says.
According to the Captain’s report, the suspect asks the girls “What is your name? How old are you? Do you want a ride home?”
His car is described as a white, four-door 90’s model Taurus with missing hubcaps.
The most recent incident reported occurred September 14th at the corner of San Jose and Havelock in the Outer Mission.
On Monday, Sept. 21 the Captain received a call from someone identifying himself as a parent, who asked the officers to come to a house. But when the officers arrived, it was a wrong address.
“We’re being on the safe side,” Lazar told the Glen Park News today. “When you have a male who pulls up to young girls and tries to lure them in a car, that doesn’t go over well with any of us. It’s a very specific description, it may be easy to catch this person,” especially if the community is aware, he added.
The man has targeted 12-year-old to 15 year old girls. In one of the cases, he was wearing a white shirt.
If you see this suspect or witness any suspicious activity, immediately phone 9-1-1 to alert the police, Lazar says.
The Police department encourages anyone who has been approached by someone fitting this description to call sex crimes at 415-553-1361 or dispatch at 415-553-0123.
