Next Saturday: Huge neighborhood clean-up with DPW!
We’re looking forward to partnering with DPW and their staff, equipment, and know-how to continue to clean and green our neighborhood on June 9th. We hope you’ll join your neighbors, Mayor Lee, and Supervisors Campos and Wiener in volunteering at this DPW Community Clean Team event for Districts 8 and 9.
Meet up at Fairmount Elementary School (enter on Randall at Arlington) at 9 a.m. next Saturday, then grab some tools and gloves and see where your help is needed—we’ve shared our list of potential neighborhood projects with DPW and hope to do some graffiti paint-out, gardening, and slope cleaning along the Bernal Cut Path. Work will end by noon and you’ll get a free lunch for volunteering.
There will also be a free compost giveaway for your garden. And you can make an appointment to drop off large and small unwanted household items for free
(call 415/330-1300).
To sign up to volunteer, please email volunteer@sfdpw.org or call 415/641-2600
