Update from Capt. Lazar at Ingleside Station:
Captain’s Message:
We have received reports of some very hateful graffiti in Glen Park. We take this crime very seriously. The Recreation and Park Department has painted over the graffiti and we have a plan in place to capture the suspects!

Quick work by the Park Patrol covered up anti-Semitic and sexual graffiti painted on Glen Park’s Rec Center sometime during the night of Nov. 10. Because Wednesday was a holiday, the playground was full of children and parents out enjoying the fall sun. Calls by early-arriving families brought police to document the graffiti and by 12:30 a Rec and Park staffer was busy painting over the offensive tags. Despite the City holiday, Eric Andersen, the Neighborhood Service Area Manager for Area 5, which contains Glen Park, responded to emails from the Glen Park News immediately and made sure staff were on hand to clean up the mess.
