Edit on May 16, 2021: The project to improve the surface of the Glen Park Greenway trail has been delayed pending delivery of required materials. Read more about that work here.
Originally scheduled to start in April, the Glen Park Greenway trail improvements are now scheduled to start around May 1. During construction, the first two blocks of the trail (from Brompton to Chilton) will be completely closed for 4 to 6 weeks. Additionally, for approximately one week, a short portion of the trail from Chilton toward Burnside (next to 88 Chilton) may be closed. Throughout construction, trail access from Burnside Avenue to the open area adjacent to St John School will remain open.
Foot traffic between Glen Park Village and Glen Canyon Park should use the sidewalk along Bosworth and, even better, along Chenery Street as it is designated a “Slow Street.” Please be prepared for construction equipment in the area of Brompton, Lippard and Chilton Avenues on occasion.
You can find more details about the project in this document or submit questions to greenway@glenparkassociation.
