Friday morning at the Canyon Market, and Janet Tarlov is adding up the number of Thanksgiving turkeys they’ve sold this year. After a brief interlude, she smiles and announces the final tally. “One hundred and seventy-five birds!”
To put this number in perspective, it’s approximately 1.4 tons of delicious gobbler— equal to the weight of a Ford Focus.
It’s safe to say the traditional Thanksgiving feast is alive and well in Glen Park Village. So thanks everyone, for doing your part.
