Dear Glen Canyon Park Community and Stakeholders,
The 2008 Clean and Safe Neighborhood Parks Bond dedicated $5.8 million to improving Glen Canyon Park. SF Recreation & Parks (RPD) is partnering with The Trust for Public Land (TPL) to design and prioritize a park improvement plan at Glen Canyon Park.
TPL and RPD held the fourth community meeting on Thursday, April 7th. At this meeting, we reviewed the preferred alternative for the park improvement plan and looked at preliminary costs. Attendees of this meeting gave feedback about the park improvement plan and had the opportunity to indicate which elements they want to prioritize.
We want your feedback!
If you were unable to attend the April 7th meeting, please take a moment to look at the attached prioritization exercise pdf. Write general comments about the plan, as well as indicating which of the improvements shown on the plan is your first priority, second priority, and third priority.
If you attended the April 7th meeting and have additional comments, feel free to write comments on the plan, but do not list your priorities again.
Note: The park improvement plan will serve as an overarching vision for Glen Canyon Park. It will inform RPD on how to spend the $5.8 million that is available now as well as other funds that may become available in the future through bonds or grants. Keep in mind that the costs are a very preliminary estimation, and should not get in the way of your analysis and prioritization.
