Happy Red and White, Glen Park’s new destination for the new year. The wine bar and café, at 678 Chenery St., began its “soft” opening Saturday and will be open Sunday evenings from 5-10 p.m.
On Tuesday, Jan. 5, it will open the doors at noon.
Co-owner Juliana Flores says that the artwork won’t be on the walls until Tuesday, but otherwise she and her partner, Peter Bell, are ready to start pouring. Red and White will offer wines by the glass to match their menu of cheeses, charcuterie, chocolates and a few warm dishes. Bottles from boutique wineries are available to take home or drink there.
Although they just missed the holidays, Flores said, she and Bell didn’t want to open Red and White until they felt completely ready. Which means everyone in Glen Park is invited, including kids, starting Tuesday. Regular hours are noon-10 p.m. daily.
