Monday June 25
2:00pm 300 Blk Addison Vandalism
Officer Preston responded to a call of damaged property at a church. Officer Preston met with the victim who showed him where the fence was damaged. The officer conducted an investigation that yielded no results as to determine what or who caused the damage. Report 120499717
Tuesday June 26
2:18pm 5200 Blk Diamond Hgts Theft
Officers Lim, Sugitan and Fung were dispatched to a report of three men struggling in what appeared to be a physical fight. While en route, the officers were advised by dispatch that the struggle involved two security officers trying to detain a shoplifter. The officers arrived and contacted all three involved. The security officers told the officers that they saw the suspect enter their store. They had seen the suspect before and had suspected that he had shoplifted. One of the security officers followed the suspect and saw him pick up a bottle of alcohol and conceal it in a sling he was wearing on his arm. The suspect then went into the meat department and pick up a container of meat, also concealing it in his sling. The suspect then exited the store without making any attempt to pay for the items. The two security officers confronted the suspect in front of the store, but the suspect fled. The security officers chased the suspect and caught him, resulting in a struggle. The officers found the meat and broken alcohol bottle on the sidewalk right next to the suspect. The suspect was arrested for shoplifting. Report 120502887
Wednesday June 27
12:28am 5600 Blk Diamond Shooting Into Dwelling
Officer Ferronato responded to the intersection of Surrey and Swiss in regards to a shooting. The victim informed the officer that he had been in an altercation with two known suspects and one unknown suspect. When the victim drove away from the scene, he heard gunshots and felt something hit him. The victim did not have any injuries, and was given a Follow Up Form, Victim of Violent Crime Form and a Marcy’s Card. The victims’ car had a large hole in the passenger side front door, and it had been penetrated to the inside passenger seat bottom. The car was towed to CSI for further investigation. Two of the suspects were detained and a cold show was administered. The victim positively identified the two suspects, and they were transported to Ingleside Station without incident. Several other units were also on scene and searched the residence of the suspects. A .22 rifle was seized and booked at Ingleside Station. Report 120504792

6:26am 5200 Blk Diamond Robbery
Officer Morgante was dispatched to a call regarding a shoplifting incident. The victim informed the officer that he had witnessed a mischievous suspect go into the liquor section and place 8 bottles of liquor into a green bag. The suspect also grabbed two boxes of diapers and proceeded to the register. The suspect stated she had purchased these diapers at an earlier time and wanted to return them. When the victim informed the suspect she could pay for the bottles of liquor the victim pulled out a bottle of pepper spray and told the victim if he did not back up she would spray him. The victim backed up and the suspect walked out of the store with the cart full. The victim continued to watch the suspect as a gray car pulled up alongside her and picked her up. The victim informed the officer that the video surveillance should have caught the incident and will be made available to investigators upon their request. Report 120505104
Thursday June 28
12:00pm Kern/Diamond Auto Boost
A victim responded to Ingleside station and told PSA Flynn that he parked and secured his vehicle and when he returned found a window smashed and several items missing. There was no suspect information and PSA Flynn processed the vehicle with negative results. Report 120510040

Sunday July 1
2:00pm Unit blk Addison Harassing Calls
Officer Duffin proceeded to a residence in response to harassing phone calls. The victim had received several calls from a blocked number; the victim stated that she did not feel threatened at any time. Report 120517682
8:00am 300 Blk Laidley Stolen Vehicle: 2003 Kawi, motorcycle, green
2:15pm Unit Blk Farnum Traffic Accident, Hit and Run
Monday July 2
10:26pm 300 blk Chenery Vandalism/Arrest
Officer Brown responded to investigate a person throwing rocks at cars. As the officer arrived he saw a female pointing down the street. The officer understood that to be where the suspect was. The officer responded further up the street and discovered the suspect. The officer tried to stop the suspect with negative results. The suspect told the officer that he did not know what he was talking about. The officers requested identification from the suspect, who refused and started walking away. The officer had to grab the suspect and when he did the suspect turned as if to punch the officer. That was the wrong thing to do, the suspect found himself face down on the sidewalk and the officer attempting to cuff him. By this time several Ingleside units had arrived to assist the officer. The suspect was still resisting and Officer Morse assisted in bringing the suspects hands together for cuffing. Both victims and witnesses came forward and identified the suspect. The suspect was arrested for vandalism, resisting and delaying and damage to private property! Report number 120522471
4:15pm Farnum/Addison Traffic Accident, Hit and Run
Tuesday July 3 and Wednesday July 4
3:00pm 200 Blk Gold Mine Burglary
Officer Preston was sent to a burglary case. The victim told the officer that he was at home when the doorbell rang. The victim said that since was not expecting anyone thought that it could be solicitor, so he ignored the door and went on with his business. Ten minutes later the victim heard a crash and when he looked there were two unknown suspects at his window. The victim yelled at the suspects that immediately ran off. There was no loss, injury or usable evidence since the suspects wore gloves. Report 120422815
Thursday July 5
10:00am Unit blk Fairmont Fraud
Police Services Aide Heckenberg-Tognozzi prepared a report for a victim that responded to the station. The victim told the PSA that he received a call from his credit card company advising him that there had been unusual activity on his card and that when an unidentified caller tried to change the password he failed with the wrong one. The company closed the account and red flagged it. The company requested a police report be made by the victim. Report number 120527261
12:00pm Unit blk Moffitt Fraud
Officer Hom prepared a report regarding a fraud. The victim told the officer that she accepted an employment opportunity she arranged over the internet with an unknown person. The instructions given to the victim consisted of cashing a check that the suspect was going to mail her in the amount of $2600 and sending $850 and $1450 money grams to separate parties and she could keep the extra $300. The victim followed instructions to the “T” only to receive a call from financial institution that the check she had cashed was no good and they wanted the money back. The victim was now out $2300!
