We’re very, very excited to contribute music, games, and crafts to the Art Walk SF in Glen Park Saturday, October 5th! Did you know that SFPL offers its own free music streaming service that brings local artists to your devices? Join us at the main stage where we’ll feature two of these artists, Local Bylaws and Jeff Manson, who demonstrate a sliver of the wide-ranging music you can find at Bay Beats. We’re also very excited to bring Tricycle Music Fest to the Art Walk. Join us at 3pm for an amazing show by bilingual, songwriting, taco-eating, multi–Latin Grammy Award–winning and six-time Emmy–nominated musician, children’s television personality and author Lucky Diaz!
Considering we’re squeezing all that into just one day, you won’t believe all the amazing free programming for all ages and interests we’re offering the rest of the month! Join us for a college readiness workshop with free food, Medicare 101 workshop, movies, costume swap, tin repujado heart-making, a look at our local Victorian architecture, the Museum of Craft and Design MakeArt Van, and a celebration of SF’s amazing stairways with two distinguished authors.
As always, this update shares just a small sampling of the many programs and experiences we’re bringing you in October. To find out about all the Glen Park Branch Library programs, we recommend you stop by the library to pick up an events pamphlet, visit our website, and subscribe to the monthly Glen Park Branch Library newsletter.
