Membership has spoken and the board has listened!
At our January quarterly meeting, residents told us their priorities, which included traffic safety and neighborhood festivals.
Fast forward to our upcoming April 30 meeting,* which is all about traffic safety. Tell the County Transportation Authority about your experience with the neighborhood’s freeway on- and off-ramps; talk to SFMTA about pedestrian safety and creative solutions for our congested streets; talk to SFPD about traffic law enforcement.
For your second priority, the Glen Park Association is working closely with the Glen Park Merchants Association to secure grants for neighborhood socializing. We’re not sure what that looks like yet. Block parties? Hopefully. Art Walk? Maybe. Night Market? Let’s see!
We are also partnering with our fantastic neighbors up the hill, the Diamond Heights Community Association, and our fantastic neighbors down the hill, Upper Noe Neighbors. Together we plan to host an ice-cream social featuring Mayor Daniel Lurie, probably some time this summer.
All of these events take a lot of work, and we need your help. Got organization skills? You can herd the cats. Can you hang signs? Can you set up tables or barricades? It takes a village to make our village festive, and it starts with you emailing us at info@glenparkassociation.org.
Looking forward to seeing you in April!
*April 30, 6:15 p.m., Glen Park branch library, send your questions about traffic safety ahead of time to info@glenparkassociation.org
