Please join Glen Park neighbors at a silent vigil this Monday, June 8 from 5 – 6pm in the ballpark of Glen Canyon (Elk Street & Chenery).
Monday marks the two week anniversary of George Floyd’s murder. We will gather at 5pm, standing six feet
apart; at 5:30pm we will kneel and hold silence for 8 minutes and 46 seconds. There will be no bell or other formal close, because
there is no real close to this work.
We commit to using our breath to speak out for justice; but we are marking our grief and outrage for the murder of George Floyd, Breonna Tyler, Ahmaud Arbery and countless other black lives with silence, together.
