Glen Park is fortunate to have two people dedicated to helping keep our neighborhood clean and, therefore, beautiful!
This program is not new but our latest Ambassadors will become a very familiar presence in downtown Glen Park.
Evette Demings and Quenise Young are two young women who participate in the Community Ambassadors Program (CAP) and are working in Glen Park. The CAP acts as a helpful presence on City streets. They also report hazards and emergencies to city agencies.
The Ambassadors’ main duties include trash sweeping and picking, leaf sweeping, graffiti removal, reporting illegally dumped items via radio, steam cleaning sidewalks, and maintaining BART area planters.
In general, the team covers the following area:
Bosworth from Lippard to Lyell/Still; Diamond from Chenery to Joost; Brompton from Chenery to Joost; and ippard from Chenery to Joost.
The Ambassadors work Friday through Monday, from 11am to 8 pm, with two fifteen-minute breaks and one hour for lunch.
When you see our Ambassadors out and about in the village, be sure to say hi!
