4:37pm 900 Blk Bosworth Robbery
A violent assault and robbery sent a victim to the hospital. Ingleside
Officers Gonzalez and Kerlegan were the first officers to arrive on
scene and they found the victim lying on the sidewalk bleeding
profusely from a head wound. He was transported to S.F.G.H. for
treatment. The officers spoke to the original 911 caller who told them
he was driving eastbound on Bosworth, between Elk and Chilton, when
noticed an unknown male beating the victim who was lying on the
sidewalk. The witness said the suspect was punching the victim in the
face and slamming his head into the sidewalk. When the witness made a
U-turn to assist the victim he saw the suspect running westbound on
Bosworth toward Elk Street. The suspect got into a late model Mazda
and drove off at a high rate of speed westbound on O’Shaughnessy
towards Portola. The officers traveled to San Francisco General to
interview the victim who told them that he and a friend were jogging
in the area. When they reached Elk and Bosworth, they split up and his
friend went home. The victim kept jogging and as he approached
Bosworth and Chilton, he saw a man “look at him crazy”. The next thing
he remembered was waking up on the ground. Chew said the suspect took
his necklace and bracelet. The attending physician told the officers
the victim suffered a broken clavicle, multiple facial bone fractures,
laceration over his right eye, head pain, and a concussion. The case
is still under investigation. Report number: 140644958

5:00pm 1500 Blk Sanchez Burglary
A stolen bicycle was recovered and the thief arrested thanks to an
alert victim and plainclothes work by several Ingleside officers. It
all started when the victim reported her bike stolen from her garage
when she was away on vacation. She had registered the bike’s serial
number with the police department. A few days later she discovered an
ad for her stolen bicycle on “Craig’s List” with a price of $850. She
notified police and a woman Ingleside officer called the thief and
arranged to buy the bicycle at the Glen Park BART Station the next
day. At the appointed hour the thief showed up with the bicycle and
the plainclothes officer, after confirming it was the stolen bike,
signaled to other officers and together the team arrested the man for
grand theft. He was taken to jail and the bicycle was returned to the
happy owner. Report number: 140641879
