9:40pm Laidley/Roanoke Vandalism
A report of a man kicking vehicles prompted dispatch to send Ingleside
Officers Dilag and Quinlan to investigate. When they arrived, a
resident of the area told the officers he saw the suspect next to a
parked car and heard a loud noise. He then saw the suspect walk to
another car and kick it. The resident told the officers he told the
suspect to stop kicking cars and he was calling the police. The
suspect then walked quickly away. Officers Dilag and Quinlan started
searching the area for the suspect and soon found him a short while
later lying in the street behind a car wearing no shirt, only pants
and shoes. He was brought back to the scene of the crime and the
citizen positively identified him as the man he saw kicking the car.
The officers decided to investigate further and found a total of five
vehicles parked next to each other with fresh dents from being kicked.
The suspect was taken to Ingleside station and booked for the
vandalism. Case number: 130871070

***Ingleside Witness Awesomeness of the Month***

Tuesday, October 22nd, 2013
3:00pm Ocean/Onondaga Robbery
A witness, who happened to be at the right place at the right time,
came to the rescue of a victim who had just been robbed. The witness
was driving by the area when she saw a suspect run up behind the
victim and snatch her Iphone out of her hand. The victim ran after the
suspect but he was too fast. The witness approached the victim and
told her to jump in her car. They then drove slowly and followed the
suspect, who was unaware that he was being followed. The witness then
called the police and provided dispatch with the suspect’s description
and his direction of travel. While waiting for the police to arrive,
the witness and victim saw the suspect meet up with an accomplice and
they both jumped on the MUNI train. They followed the train to 30th
and Church providing dispatch with the current location. Moments
later, Officers Seavey, Padilla and Barajas along with Sgt Lozada
responded to the area. Sgt Lozada spotted the two suspects as they
exited the train and began walking away. With the assistance of
Officers Seavey, Padilla and Barajas, both suspects were taken into
custody. The officers noticed that the two suspects had discarded two
Iphones on the street. The victim arrived and positively identified
the one suspect as the one who robbed her in the area of Ocean and
Onondaga. The victim also identified her phone that had been discarded
as well. Both suspects were then taken back to Ingleside Station.
While interviewing the suspects, a second victim arrived at the
station and said she had been robbed at San Jose and Niagara. Turns
out the second Iphone that had been recovered belonged to her. The
suspects admitted to robbing the two victims and were subsequently
booked for the robberies. Report Number: 130895848
