6:38pm       4600 Blk Mission                  Robbery
(***NOTE: This incident took place at Mission & Ocean, but the
suspects were apprehended in Glen Park.***)
Officer Shugars along with numerous Ingleside units were dispatched to
the area of Mission and Ocean Avenue regarding a call of a robbery.
Upon arrival, Officer Shugars met with the victim, a Walgreens
employee, who stated that she was working at the front counter and was
helping a customer when a suspect walked up to the side of the counter
and said, “Give me the money, I have a gun”. The victim stated that
she was in fear for her life, so she opened the till drawer. The
suspect reached over the counter and grabbed the money from the till
and put it in his pockets. The suspect looked at the victim and said,
“Give me the rest of the money in there”. The victim then handed the
suspect a roll of $5 bills. The suspect grabbed the money and ran out
of the store in an unknown direction.

While at the scene, Officer Shugars was approached by a witness who
stated that she was walking to her car when she noticed that there was
a minivan parked behind her. She noticed that there were two people
sitting in the van. She stated that a short time later, she saw the
suspect running towards the minivan and entered the passenger side of
the minivan. The minivan immediately pulled into traffic and fled
Eastbound on San Juan Avenue in an unknown direction. As the minivan
pulled away, she wrote down the license plate number assuming that
something was wrong.

Officer Shugars then updated dispatch with the suspect’s description
and the vehicle’s license plate number. Dispatch ran the plate and
notified the officers that the registered address on the minivan came
back to the unit block of Addison Street.  Numerous units responded to
the location, where Officers Burke and Barajas located the minivan,
parked in a driveway, and occupied with 5 people. The officers
detained and searched the suspects, finding money on three of them.
The officers transported the witnesses who identified the suspects and
the vehicle used in the robbery. Three of the suspects were arrested
and transported to Ingleside Station where they were booked
accordingly. After further investigation, the two remaining subjects
were released from the scene. Report Number: 130191232.
